All Good Things Must Come to an End

My dear friends,

After several months of absence, I had decided to start posting again but, it is with much sadness that I have decided to stop posting on this blog altogether.  It has been a fun number of years sharing my love of vintage vinyl along with memories of my childhood and mother (who I credit for my love of this music).  But it has lost its "fun-ness" for me - losing almost all my links when a certain website (which will remain nameless) was closed down, being told to remove other links from my posts, and now having some of my links flagged as "not to be shared" on the current storage website I have been using so that when you go to download, it won't let you.  (Even my own compilations that I put together are now flagged that way!)  I am not going to delete this blog, but will not add any more posts.  Any working links will remain, but I will not re-up any deleted links.

Thank you all so much for your following through the years, and for your wonderful comments.  I hope I was able to bring some happy memories to you all, and to introduce you to some music that you enjoyed.  If you would like to contact me via email, please post a comment with your email address (comments are moderated, so I will not publish those) and I will contact you.

With much love and gratitude from -
Just someone who's trying to fill the world with music, one note at a time...

Aw, I'm really sad to see this blog go. I do want to take the time to say thanks for the past shares, though.

Also, a sincere thanks for actually posting a goodbye. Too many other share blogs I followed just stopped updating, without anyone ever saying anything about why they were quitting.

A wonderful effort, Esther! You might like to think about setting up a private blog. They don't seem to have these problems! Thanks so much for the music. Silly to think so much cannot be found in any stores isn't it?

A crying shame. As the Spin-a-Rama hour is still on the air, you will still spread cheer to all. If you happen to roll up I-35 through Denton, don't forget to stop by Recycled Books and Records....a few vinyl treasures can still be found there.....We'll miss this blog up here in the Big Sky of far North Texas,,,,,

Thank you so much for all the wonderful music! I deeply appreciate all the work you put in - you introduced me to some music I hadn't heard & reintroduced me to many artists from my childhood.

I wish you all the very best & will miss you & your blog so much!

I am deeply saddened to see that you have decided to close this blog. I have followed it for nearly 5 years and it has been a blog that has given so much valuable information and music that I would probably have never known about. The sad part is the people who would flag your music, with it being out of print, there really is nowhere else to listen to it. There are always jealous people online who will flag peoples uploads just out of spite. I hope you would consider keeping the blog open, or maybe invite some people and make it a private blog.

I really hate to see the blog go, but I totally understand. It was one of my favorites, and I just wanted to say thanks for all the years of awesome posts. I'll miss them!

Sad news, but, as always, thanks for all the fun! I know your decision can't have been made lightly, and we understand.

It's really a shame that so many storage sites have resorted to paranoia. Even totally legit stuff is getting flagged or removed without the users' consent/knowledge!

Oh Esther! What a pity - Frankie Laine, Telly Savalas, Robert Mitchum - I could go on, but this blog turned me on to so much great music that I hadn't heard before. And the descriptions were great.
But thanks for everything - your blog was always a voyage of discovery for me. Goodbye and good luck!
