Cool Yule Tunes 2008 - A Stax o' Wax Compilation

Hey, all! Well, I finally finished putting together my Christmas compilation for this year. I was going to let iTunes randomly pick the songs for me, but I was never happy with the choices so I decided to just go through all my Christmas songs and hand-pick the songs. This is a little different from last year's Cool Yule Tunes - I think it has more less-traditional Christmas and holiday songs. But it's great to play in the car, or add to your iPod, or play at your Christmas party! And if you go download last year's compilation, you'll have double the fun! This is basically "my Christmas card to you" (as the Partridge Family would sing), and I hope that you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed putting it together!

Track listing for Cool Yule Tunes 2008 - A Stax o' Wax Compilation:

1. Happy Holiday/The Holiday Season - Andy Williams
2. Sleigh Ride - The Ventures
3. Santa Baby - Eartha Kitt
4. Joy To The World - The Mistletoe Disco Band
5. Merry Christmas Darling - The Carpenters

Thanks, Esther! I've been enjoying last year's compilation already, so this one will make a nice addition. I highly approve your selections. :-)

This looks like a decent mix - Thanks for taking the time to put is together. Unfortunately, the upload to MegaUpload seems corrupted and fails about quarter of the way through every time.

Hi, Jute,

I just went and successfully downloaded it from Megaupload - no problems at all. Maybe when you tried it, Megaupload was doing maintenance or usage was just too high. Sometimes I try to download a file and have a problem, but come back later and can download it successfully. Anyway, try it again!

Thanks for stopping by!

I am having the same problem as jute.
This time MegaUpload is saying it cannot find the file. It makes me wait of course, but then does not deliver. This reminds me of Christmas when I was 8. I waited and waited but never did get what I wanted.

I'll try again later. I always do.

Since you mentioned the Partridge Family in your post, [Ye Sad Sun] was a Partridge and also on "L.A. Law." Here's her birthday anagram game.

Hi, Lacey,

Well, I tried again and again successfully got to it. Don't know what's going - maybe just lots of uploading and downloading.

Anyway, as much as I dislike rapidshare, I uploaded it there, but it's only good for ten downloads!

Here's the link:

Thank you for the trouble.
I have found rapidshare to be less troublesome for downloads, though more so for other things. That is why I use Mediafire for my files.

Got this great collection and thank you again.

Hi Esther,

I'm new at this and have been searching for a copy of the "Living Strings Christmas Album" I don't know how to reach you and don't know how to get your copy of that album.

Mine is about 40 years old and the sound quality is not so good.....altho, I did copy it to a cassette years ago.

Can you help me get a copy of your album.

Thanks so much for your help!

Hi, Bob,
Thanks for stopping by!

To download my copy of the album, go to where it says "Track listing for The Living Strings..." and click on the high-lighted album title. That will take you to the website for Megaupload.com (where I upload my albums). It'll ask you to type in three letters. After you type them and hit 'download', you'll have to wait about 40 seconds. When the 40 seconds are up, under the 'free' column, click the 'free download' button. It'll then ask you if you want to save the file to your computer (say yes, or whatever). Once it is saved to your computer, you will have to un-zip it before you can actually listen to it. Once unzipped, you can listen to it with iTunes, or whatever software you use on your computer to listen to music. You can also burn it to a CD if you want!

I hope this helps. If you have any other questions, just post another comment and I will try to answer as best as I can!

Thanks again for stopping by!
