James Darren - Album No. 1 (1959)

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

For Valentine's Day, I decided to share this James Darren album with you because it has some good "love" songs, and because I think he's a pretty dreamy guy. I'm sure y'all are familiar with him - he starred as "Moondoggie" in the "Gidget" movies, starred in the television series "The Time Tunnel" and "T.J. Hooker", and had a recurring role as "Vic Fontaine" on "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine", where he was a Frank Sinatra-like character and got to sing. He's still a very fine looking man! So, I hope y'all have a special someone with whom to share this Valentine's Day and can cuddle to the tunes of James Darren! I've also included a Scopitone video of James Darren singing "Because You're Mine" (LOVE the lovely ladies in the video!).

THIS IS A GREAT ALBUM.
I BOUGHT HIS ALBUM "THIS ONE FROM THE HEART'.
IT WAS BASED ON HIS APPEARENCE OD STAR TREK DEEP SPACE NINE LAST SEASON AS THE VEGAS SWINGER VIC FONTANE.
BUT YOU PROBBABLY KNOW ALL THAT.
I LIVED IN LAS VEGAS FROM 1996 TO 2002.
I ENJOYED THE FOOD AND THE SPARCE LOUNGE SHOWS.
I DID SEE A FEW GREATS GOULET,HUMPERDINK, TOM JONES ETC..AND BOBBY RYDELL MY FAVORITE FROM THE OLDIES ERA.

"This One's from the Heart"...also a great album! As I was driving across the West I happened across an interview with James Darren on the radio, talking about that album when it was just coming out. Lucky me!

Vegas is still a good place to catch all the greats; at the Orleans, where I saw Neil Sedaka (for my birthday!) and Dion.

Hey, Jack, Vince, and Richard!

So glad you liked this one! I've never been to Vegas, but hope to go sometime soon! I'd especially like to visit the Star Trek Experience. Any chance, Vince or Richard, that one of you can post "This One's from the Heart" for me? :-)

(If you have any requests, please ask - I'll be glad to post them if I have the record!)

Thanks again for visiting!
